The Marshalltown Evening LIons would like to thank everyone that supported our first annual candy and nut fundraiser. Because of your wonderful support, we were able to donate $8,900 to several organizations. Donations were made to the Marshall County Veterans Memorial, Marshalltown Parks and Recreation for a handicap swing at Anson Park, Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, Quilts of Valor, House of Compassion, Camp Hertko Hollow, Camp Courageous, Community Foundation of Marshall County for Meals from the Heartland food drive, Emergency Food Box, increased our annual scholarship for three MHS students to $1,000 each and some of the bags of candy and nuts were distributed to the Little Food Pantries in Marshalltown.

We would also like to thank the businesses that sold the candy and nuts for us: Arnold Motor Supply, Betty J’s in Newton, Chop Shop, Claudia’s Beauty Shop, Headliner, Oliver Beene Beauty Shop, Optical Center, Shear Satisfaction, and Starla’s.

This fundraiser will return in October 2024 with additional items for your holiday enjoyment.
