Correction to MARSHALLTOWN story
After reading the article about MARSHALLTOWN, I wanted to make a specific correction. The salesman and promoter Albert Diggins (in the article) was Albert Higgin. Most people wouldn’t know that; I do because I am the descendant of Lester Williams, who was there and I have my own history of the Trowel Company and Marshalltown Mfg. Co. George Williams was my father. The picture didn’t mention my married name. I was married to Jim York, who actually worked for Marshalltown Mfg. Co. and Lennox when M’town Mfg. Co. moved to Nebraska.
