Immigration issue has been falsely portrayed

Watching Trump spew his racist vomit about Haitian immigrants during the presidential debate and then listening to him compare the black candidate for North Carolina governor as King on steroids to me is the last straw, a dagger into the heart of common decency. Americans need to understand the immigration issue has been falsely portrayed by both political parties and the big capitalist press.

Immigration poses an interesting paradox! Immigrants are seeking relief on American soil when it is American foreign policy that actually caused their social, environmental, economic and political upheaval in their home countries they are fleeing from!

Both political parties will not discuss or expose America’s imperialist shady economic interference in Mexican, Central America and South American politics and that includes the Caribbean nations like Haiti. America is directly responsible for Haiti becoming a failed state.

In my last letter, I talked about reckless resource extractionism. The philosophy underlying our Federal Farm Bill cheap grain policy is reckless extractionism. Cheap corn drove American farmers off their land and our cheap U.S. corn flooded into the Mexican grain market, uprooting millions of Mexican farmers! Many have and are now seeking relief on American soil.

Yep folks like in America cheap U.S. corn plus agribusiness factory farming model (large scale Agribusiness Confined Animal Feeding Operations) CAFOs are operating full speed in Mexico, Asia and Europe.

Because American foreign policy is all about human exploitation and crooked resource extractionism, when three crews of Latin American workers put new shingles, siding and gutters on my house, frankly, I didn’t worry or care whether they had legal documents or not. All I cared about was their skill. They were respectful and did a great job.

I don’t expect men like Trump will ever get over their racism! Do Americans want a full blown racist to sit on the Presidential chair and represent the American flag? Is that the image they want to portray to the rest of the world? Apparently the Christian Nationalist Movement seems okay with the image because they believe Trump is God’s messenger.

After reading the 1967 speech Beyond Vietnam: A Time To Break Silence by Martin Luther King Jr. I pondered what King would say today about the irrational authoritarian hypocritical behavior of the Christian Nationalism Movement?

One thing is certain: authoritarians, whether secular or religious, never weep over slain bodies who challenge their hypocrisy.
