In Support of BJ Hoffman for Hardin County Supervisor
I’m writing to express my support for BJ Hoffman, your current Hardin County Supervisor. BJ’s dedication to Hardin County, his family, and its people is evident in everything he does. Don’t be misled by the false claims that BJ is against public education. In fact, his mother just began her 50th year as an educator in Grundy Center. During the pandemic, when the demand for substitute teachers surged, BJ returned to school himself to help fill this need.
Despite the negative rhetoric from local Democrats, BJ is a true champion of family farming. He and his brother are actively involved in the farm that has been passed down through generations, starting with their great-grandparents. Unlike many families who have sold off their land, BJ and his brother are committed to preserving their family’s legacy and continuing the hard work of their ancestors.
BJ’s dedication to the community extends far beyond the farm. Whether he’s flipping pancakes at community breakfasts, officiating youth sports, volunteering on the local ambulance service, or donating his BBQ skills to support local causes, BJ demonstrates his deep love for Hardin County. His respect for those who serve our country is also unwavering, as shown through his continuous support of law enforcement and public safety.
I first met BJ in 2016, and I’m now engaged to him. As a public school teacher with 29 years of experience, I can assure you that while BJ and I don’t agree on everything, he is a strong supporter of education–even when it means challenging his own party. He opposed the AEA bill because he took the time to consult with his mother, myself, and local experts on the potential impact. It’s unfair and unjust to lump him in with others based on party affiliation alone.
BJ Hoffman is a man who listens, learns, and leads with integrity. When you vote on November 5th, I urge you to vote for BJ Hoffman — a leader who truly cares about Hardin County and its future.
