Nan Benson keeps Marshall County moving forward
Nan Benson keeps Marshall County moving forward. Her leadership through the tornado recovery was essential in preserving and updating the courthouse. Her vision and perseverance were vital in keeping Marshall County open, accessible, and serving the public during the pandemic. She’s an invaluable resource for fellow county department heads, township officials, and small-town government.
She arrives early and works late. Nan puts in the extra time it takes to keep Marshall County moving forward. When there’s a meeting, she’s there. When someone needs a conversation, she makes herself available. When there’s a problem needing a solution, Nan is offering and talking-through ideas. She works hard and does the right thing, putting others before herself. That’s integrity and hard work you can count on. Outside of work, she is generous with her time, talents and resources in supporting community organizations. She’s shown that she’s all-in for this community.
Aside from her work ethic, Nan’s tremendous know-how and expertise have empowered her to be successful in two complex jobs. She’s not just Marshall County’s Auditor. She’s also Marshall County’s Recorder. Marshall County is one of two counties in Iowa with a combined Auditor-Recorder position. That Nan has been successful is a testament to her values of hard work and integrity as well as her professional expertise. That Marshall County has maintained a strong financial position despite the challenges presented by the courthouse tornado-rebuild is a testament to her trustworthiness as Marshall County’s advocate for the taxpayers.
Nan gets the job done. She gives her all, and she keeps Marshall County moving forward. I’m proud of what she has accomplished for our community, and I’m looking forward to voting for Nan Benson for Marshall County Auditor-Recorder on November 5.
