Pray and vote!
For the past year I have been reading a magazine called “Decisions.” I am not a magazine reader as many articles come from unsettled writers who make their living keeping the world stirred up with angry thoughts. In this publication, the authors are conservative and thought provoking. Franklin Graham is the editor, he begins this issue with the encouragement to seriously pray, then Vote! It also includes a note of wisdom by Winston Churchill. “Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. The inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” America had many leaders trying to bring chaos and failure to our Democracy. We are in a struggle in this election period to keep America free. I think you good citizens know those who do not belong in our system of justice. In our present Bible study we are in Ezekiel. God told this preacher to “go, speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious.” (Ezek. 2:7.) The ability to hear and choose is what keeps America free. Like the Jews, Americans are also rebellious and we need the freedom to choose our own leaders. Let the teachers bring the evidence that we may see any truth brought forth. Kamala Harris criticizes conservatives for banning books in Libraries but Biden/Harris coerced tech companies to censor books, videos, and other content. To listening mothers Donald Trump says “our enemies are waging war on freedom, faith and religion.” He encourages us to know what the message is that each candidate supports; then we can make our choice. At issue for the Democrats is Supreme Court reform. They want to make rules that will lift them over and above Conservatives-put all power and authority in their hands. As the magazine suggests, this election is a time to show America’s willingness to keep America free and the leader of the world in truth and righteousness. I thank God for blessing us with his presence in the choices we make!
