Questions for Republican candidates

Voters should ask Republican candidates — both State and Federal — a few questions. They promise to cut spending. But just who pays for all the jails and prisons in which to put librarians, teachers, doctors and women?!

What if the doctor you slammed into a cell and “lost” the key was the only doctor who could cure your child or you? What if the women sent home to die because the doctor’s hands were tied was your child’s beloved teacher or your daughter? What will happen to kids, communities and sports when the public schools are shut down?

Both parties take campaign money from questionable sources, but I am appalled that the Party of Lincoln has sold itself to the Religious Right hypocrites who perpetuate the late Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson’s lust for power and control.

Women kept perpetually PG aren’t much competition, are they. Jesus did not mince words when telling off hypocrites.

Abortion is stopped by allowing women and men to prevent unwanted pregnancy and schools will be better when politicians butt out and let teachers teach.

Lower birth rates are not a “crisis.” They promote healthier moms and kids and help end poverty and hunger and environmental destruction and pandemics. And perhaps down the road, politicians will think twice before they send young people into more Vietnams because human life is more precious than expendable.
