Thankful for support of Iowa River Hospice golf tournament
The Iowa River Hospice family wants to express our sincere gratitude to the communities we serve for your unimaginable support of our first annual Iowa River Hospice golf tournament held last month. To say we were overwhelmed by the number of teams, sponsorships, donations and volunteers does not begin to describe the emotions we have experienced over the last few weeks. To the teams who participated, thank you for showing up and sharing your laughter and spirit across the entire course. To the sponsors, each one of you, including tournament, hole, and cart, thank you for believing in the mission of Iowa River Hospice and sharing your generosity with us to make this event possible. To the oh so many of you, that donated prizes, gift cards, gift baskets, signage, money, food, and time, thank you for honoring our event. We are beyond humbled by your kindness and openhandedness. To our volunteers, thank you, without your time and energy this tournament would have only been a passing thought. And thank you to Oakwood Golf Course in Conrad for hosting us on their beautiful links. Iowa River Hospice is truly blessed at the hands and hearts of you all. We are excited to share that the entirety of the money raised at this event is designated to our “Days of Care” program which pays room and board at the Hospice House for those who are unable to do so. The Medicare Hospice election of benefit pays for the care of the patient but does not cover room and board. These funds will give peace to many at a most vulnerable time in their life. So, thank you one and all for being a blessing at a time of need to your neighbors in your communities. Please accept our deepest gratitude for making our first annual golf tournament far exceed our wildest expectations in raising $18,771.75 for our “Days of Care” program. May God richly bless each of you for your incredible generosity.
