I first started getting to know David Blom a couple years ago. His optimism was the first observation I made about him. That he is a good listener was the second. As we talked about the issues of the time, I noticed he was knowledgeable and asked thoughtful questions. Clerking in the legislature in 2018 and 2019 rooted him in a solid foundation for understanding the legislative process. My lasting impression was that he had the humility to recognize his need to seek to know more and the drive to act upon it.

Since then, I’ve come to know David as someone who values common sense and sound financial planning. He understands the value of a dollar. He understands the value in maximizing the potential of a dollar so taxpayer funds are wisely allocated. He knows that regular people in our community depend upon the services provided by taxpayer dollars, especially when it comes to education. He’s ready to listen, learn, and make the important choices incumbent upon our legislators.

David will also be a strong advocate for our community and values. He doesn’t support the AEA reform legislation. His honesty about this shows he’s independent-minded and tuned into what people in this community care about. He’s willing to go against the grain to stand up for what he believes is right. He’s willing to advocate for what best reflects the values of this community.

In a race where both candidates are principled, servant-hearted, and people of integrity, David’s foundation, financial perspective, and willingness to go against the grain are what distinguish him. I’m confident in his character and ability, and I’m looking forward to supporting David Blom on election day.
