You need to read a post from Alfonso Medina, the owner of La Carreta restaurant. In it, he is speaking for all Hispanic immigrants (legal and undocumented).

They are going to leave our country if we don’t bend to them and accept the undocumented. He claims they are the saviors of our land. No, Alfonso, my ancestors and my family have been the builders, protectors and saviors for almost 400 years. They spent 2 months at sea to get here. There were no buses, cash cards, phones, rooms or healthcare. They served in every war. Their graves are strung across this country, especially women and children. They worked at any and all jobs like farming, painting, cutting monuments, cooking and law enforcement. Any work to provide for their families. They came for opportunity, freedom and they learned to speak English to assimilate. Immigrants today have taken full advantage of Americans’ generosity and opportunity. Alfonso said we bite the hand that feeds us. I believe it to be the other way around. My family has worked for everything we have. Nothing was given to us. We are strong, resourceful and self-sufficient. Our laws have served us well. If you don’t like our laws you are free to go anywhere you want. If we are so terrible, why did you come here and why do the undocumented break the law to get here? Must be some reason. If it becomes unbearable put on your traveling pants and we will help you pack.
