Worden salad

The latest Worden salad litany is a Who’s Who of the Marshalltown citizens who are responsible for most of the intellectual fiber of the community. Little Johnnie hates most of them and accuses them of yelling at or ignoring him, from the mayor, the city council, the library board to the public servants. Little Johnnie has a persecution complex and the meanies won’t let him put his discredited newspaper at the circulation desk.

He has yelled at many of these officials when they refuse private time with them after meetings. He has never been refused public comment during meetings and offers nothing new.

He appeared on television news as a freak show spot after he picketed the Marshalltown Public Library with a crudely lettered cardboard sign. The public reaction in the comment website of the television station was largely negative. There were no 12 newspapers that covered him. Only one article by an opinion columinist in 12 papers.

As for a petition in a parking lot, how many of those signatures are genuine? Anyone who has submitted a voter petition for a candidate knows how many are rejected by the board of elections when they are checked.

He and his Huckleberry Finn cohort would be jokes if people were not too bored and disgusted to laugh. Soon he will be in a home because this obsession with a rag is driving him crazy and no one will visit him there.

Starting at $4.38/week.
