Working in the Church

For a long time I have been helping to print and fold our Church bulletins. It is a task that needs to be done, so we just do it. Today’s task had a blessing. A picture of heavenly arms reaching through darkened clouds to connect with humans on Earth. In the middle of the picture, was our Church. First off, I felt that Heaven and Earth were agreeing to be faithful to all good things. After all, that is what God has wanted for thousands of years. In the beginning, humans agreed with God and made promises to be faithful. But time and the presence of satan proved too much for us. Through the ages God has called His people to return to His kingdom. On the bottom of the folder, was John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” God loved the world but redemption of humanity cost the life of God’s Son. All we have to do is believe in His forgiveness for He is the only way that Heaven can be found. In the Old Testament God promised to send a helper to Adam and Eve. To this day, the Jews are looking for that helper. They simply missed the boat when the Helper did come! That is the same condition all unbelievers are in. They want to get into Heaven but they don’t want to pay the cost of re-entry. Jesus is the blocker of Eden’s gates. It isn’t Buddha or Mohammad, or any deity that man has made up. Jesus is simply the Son of God and must be worshipped as such. The picture on our bulletin reminds me how God has offered His help and support. Through the ages, the faithful have felt His presence. I keep a copy of this bulletin near my computer. Just glancing at it provides a realization that He has always been present with His help and direction. My prayer is that everyone will find peace in His presence. With the violence that wracks the World, isn’t it worthwhile to know your salvation is secure?
