Thanks to the British Invasion
The British Invasion, at the Orpheum Theater, was a smashing success! Audience members “grooved out” as the Inner Lite band played many favorite hits from the 60’s. MC Kyle Martin guided the trip down memory lane.
The production wasn’t thrown together in a day- many practices went into making the program an all time favorite of many. These musicians weren’t in it for the money- they were in for the love of music and friends.
The Historical Society of Marshall County wants to thank the following people for donating their time and talents to the production. The Marshalltown School District let us use their beautifully restored theater at no charge. MHS Auditorium Manager, Jose Ramirez, along with Kyle Martin, donated their time to make sure everything ran smoothly. Radio Station KFJB promoted the event with ads and interviews. Band members Jim Downs, Billy Wilson, Martin Downs. Doug Norton and Sound Board technition Ronnie Boles, provided the magic. A special thank you, to Billy, for suggesting the program and for inviting the veterans from the Iowa Veteran’s Home.
