Reading the September 19 Times Republican column “Teetering on the edge of the Abyss” by syndicated columnist Laura Hollis her broad brush (all leftist are soft on criminals) smearing and no mention of the Trumps self pardon of the violent Jan 6th authoritarian power play by Trump and his lunatic fringe acolytes including Christian Nationalists, her hypocrisy spews from her mouth like foamy bloody saliva from an engorged laughing hyena feasting on a fresh kill on the African savanna.

Hearing the question by the political class, and the U.S. press corps. “How could the assassination happen to Christian Nationalist Charlie Kirk? Have they no sense of irony? In 1492 Columbus introduced the rot of violent European white racist Christian supremacy (slavery ,genocide and the raping of nature) to the Americas!

Quit the nonsense! Our nation suffers from its violent past and today’s reckless infatuation with guns and our corrupt military industrial complex.

This nation’s leadership on both sides on the issue of violence just don’t get it? I would argue the root cause of our violence is our ongoing disconnect from nature and its calming effect on our human psyche. Has anyone just remained silent and listened to all the noise or observed all the needless artificial light at nightfall?

Witness the un-naturalness of agribusiness Confined Animal Feeding Operations, the destruction of precious rainforest, the overfishing of the ocean, Drill baby Drill oil production, fence to fence row grain production, unrestrained mining and the Chemical poisonings by Agent Orange and Atom bomb testing.Sadly those examples are considered acceptable capitalism even though its a violent imbecilic human action against nature.

In regards to Charlie Kirk quit trying to turn him into a Sacred Cow. He advocated for violence! He once said to supporters ” Buy weapons, Buy Ammo. If you go into a public place , bring your guns with you”. I guess ole Charlie didn’t take Jesus seriously!

Jesus supposedly said ” Put Away your Sword, those who live by the Sword will perish by the Sword”! Oh the irony that spews forth from the second amendment. Only the blind leading the blind would ask the question “How could this happen to Charlie Kirk”?

The real irony, Trump promised the Medal of Freedom to Charlie Kirk, I’d wager a chocolate malt no such honor will be bestowed to Robert Redford for his environmentalism and his stand for nonviolence?
