Do not miss the next ‘Stop the Bleed’ training!
On Oct. 16, 2025, a dear friend and I attended the “Stop the Bleed” training at the Marshalltown library. By the way, we have a wonderful library here as acknowledged by a visiting friend from out of town who has visited many libraries.
The program was given by an ER doctor and a female ambulance driver. We had a nice size group attending and all of us were glad we were there. We learned quick action things to do to help save a life — also reminded of staying on the phone with a 911 operator until they have all the info needed and they tell you you can hang up.
Our two speakers made the program not only informative answering all our questions but fun with laughter at the same time. They hope to offer additional programs to the public in the future.
My friend and I decided the evening was still early and decided to go to Perkins Restaurant for apple pie a la mode and coffee to continue our visit. This was another good idea!
Remember to keep an eye out for the program in the future as they hope to offer “Stop the Bleed” training again elsewhere, and the training is free to the public.
