MPL Boardroom Antics pt. 8

Editor,

“blankets” (Call Number GN Thompson) is a book available at MPL.

Summary according to MPL “Loosely based on the author’s life, chronicling his journey from childhood to adulthood, exploring the people, experiences, and beliefs that he encountered along the way.” “Quaint, meditative and sometimes dreamy, blankets will take you straight back to your first kiss.”

“blankets” review by author Matthew Hughstun. “Implied molestation, child abuse, child negligence, scenes showing the difficulties of mental retardation and family life, drug use, violence, harsh language, nudity, frontal male genitals and topless females, and scenes discussing, inferring, and almost showing the act of masturbation.” Graphic novel.

“Bestselling author Brendan DuBois (Co-authored 20 books available at MPL) is charged with possessing child sexual abuse materials. DuBois has been arraigned on multiple counts of possessing child sexual abuse materials. He was arrested Wednesday after police in Exeter, New Hampshire, opened an investigation with the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.” (TR July 12, 2024) ( DuBois Sentenced to 3 ½ to 7 years in prison March 2025)

That work by schlockmeisters DuBois and Thompson is promoted by MPL while The Epoch Times and The American Rifleman or Hunter is denied, is beyond comprehension and not acceptable.

Where is oversight of director Rosenblum from TRUSTees Gaffney, Morrison, Beek, Hall, Bennett, and Husak? “Conduct that violates acceptable or desirable standards of ethics or orderly business.” From the City Employee Policy Manual. How much more proof that these TRUSTees have no intention of representing patrons in unbiased fashion does there need to be? Further proof of failure is the adoption of punitive and reactionary policy, written without patron representation, in April 2023 that has been successfully used to prohibit patron concerns from published agendas which are public record. Weaponization of the policy effectively denies patron/public reliance on public records.

Patrons support and in return expect a high level of ethics and simple fairness from all city departments. The city has failed to hold the MPL department accountable to patrons. The current administration has proven 40 consecutive times it has no intention of performing ethically or fairly in the best interest of patrons and should RESIGN NOW!
