As early voting is soon underway, please remember to complete your ballot and vote NO on Amendment 1. The NO vote does NOT raise our taxes. It maintains the current level of legislative flexibility to make changes in the tax rate if there is a budget emergency. A NO vote is in the best interests of taxpayers, our schools and other services provided by state funding, and it ensures that the legislature can act more quickly than a 60% majority requirement would allow.
