TIMES-REPUBLICAN ELDORA — The East Marshall volleyball team took a game from South Hardin for the first time in eight years, but it wasn’t enough to propel the Mustangs to victory. The host Tigers took Monday’s NICL West Division match from East Marshall in four sets, prevailing 25-16, 24-26, 25-17, 25-12. ISU women announce non-league schedule

TIMES-REPUBLICAN AMES — Iowa State has announced its non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 women’s basketball season. The schedule is highlighted by three games against in-state rivals and three contests against 2026 NCAA Tournament teams. Overall, ISU will host one exhibition and nine regular-season games in Hilton Coliseum as part of the non-conference schedule. The Cyclones will host an exhibition contest with Upper Iowa on Oct. 28 prior to the regular season opener against Grambling State on Nov. 2. Romo pleads no contest to OWI charge

CBS NFL analyst and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has pleaded no contest to a charge of operating while intoxicated and has issued a statement apologizing for the actions that led to his July arrest. Romo was arrested July 23 following a traffic stop as he was driving south on Interstate 43 in Wisconsin. CBS has since placed him on leave from his role as its lead NFL analyst. According to Milwaukee County court records, Romo lost his driving privileges for six months and was ordered to complete an alcohol assessment program. Romo also owes $834. An interlock device ...
