Bobcat volleyball team tops Oskaloosa Invite

OSKALOOSA — The Marshalltown volleyball team won its first tournament title of the season on Saturday with a win in the Oskaloosa Invitational.

The Bobcats (17-10) beat Saydel (21-3, 21-13) and Ottumwa (21-19, 21-4) in pool play while falling to Gilbert (21-8, 21-17). Then, in the championship bracket, MHS beat North Polk in the semifinals, 25-22, 25-20, and got revenge on Gilbert in the finals, 25-20, 25-17.

Regan Mazour was the leading attacker for Marshalltown with 50 kills on the day, while Ciara Feldman had 41. The girls flipped the lead in digs for the tournament, with Feldman recording 58 and Mazour recording 44. Madi Finch facilitated well with 106 assists throughout the day.
