West Marshall win streak ends at 10
GRANGER — The West Marshall baseball team saw the end of its 10-game winning streak with a 3-1 loss on Thursday at Woodward-Granger.
Alex Bice pitched 6 2/3 innings for the win for Woodward-Granger (22-7), allowing just four singles before giving way in the top of the seventh. That’s when the Trojans (25-5) scored their only run, as Ryan Reyerson came across on a wild pitch.
Brayden Evertsen and Josh Larsen each had two hits for West Marshall, which was unable to support Nat Markle’s complete-game loss. Markle struck out two and did not walk a batter, but the Hawks got him for six hits and all three runs came courtesy of errors.
West Marshall closes out the regular season tonight with a game at Class 2A No. 3 Dike-New Hartford.
