TUSCON, Ariz. -- Northwestern College junior Samantha Ubben pitched the 13th no-hitter in school history as the Red Raiders blanked Presentation College (S.D.) 13-0 in six innings on Tuesday at the Tuscon Invitational Games.
Ubben, a 2017 BCLUW High School graduate, allowed only one baserunner in her first collegiate no-hitter, giving up a leadoff walk in the bottom of the third inning. She struck out six in a near-perfect game to improve to 5-0 for the season, getting six groundouts and six flyouts in the complete-game performance.
It was Northwestern's first no-hitter since Morgan Means delivered the same feat in 2015.
