BCLUW is the latest area high school football team to release an adjusted 2020 schedule in the wake of the IHSAA’s new seven-week window for the season, announced Friday by the organization.

The Comets canceled two games that were planned to be played in September against Eagle Grove and Jesup.

The team’s new schedule still starts with a home game on August 28 against North Butler. Sept. 4 the Comets travel to Le Grand to play East Marshall. On Sept. 11, BCLUW plays Lynnville-Sully on the road, and Sept. 18 the Comets host Belle Plaine for Homecoming. A trip to Grundy Center on Sept. 25 and a visit to New Sharon to play North Mahaska Oct. 2 ends the team’s road schedule. The Comets close the regular season at home against North Tama on Oct. 9.

Playoffs begin Oct. 16 and every team will make the first round.
