East Marshall football adjusts season slate

Iowa high schools are making adjustments to their 2020 football schedules after the IHSAA’s announcement requiring that a five, six or seven game regular season be completed in a seven-week window before playoffs begin October 16.

The Mustangs begin play Aug. 20 against North Mahaska in New Sharon at 7 p.m. (all games will start at 7 p.m.). September 4 is the home debut against BCLUW. On Sept. 11 and 18, the Mustangs travel to Eldora to play South Hardin and Hudson to face the Pirates.

East Marshall then hosts its final two home games of the regular season on Sept. 25 and Oct. 2 — playing Aplington-Parkersburg and then South Hamilton, with the latter game being Senior Night.

The regular season ends with a trip to Dike to play Dike-New Hartford.

Playoffs begin Oct. 16 and every team will make the first round.
