MORAVIA — Elmwood Country Club pro Jay Giannetto teamed with Chad Callan from Briarwood Golf Club in Ankeny to finish in second place at the Iowa PGA Pro-Pro tournament on Monday at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake.

The tandem trailed by only one stroke on the final leaderboard, as Sean McCarty and Jeffrey Schmid from Brown Deer Golf Club in Coralville finished in with a 10-under-par round of 62. Giannetto and Callan carded a 9-under 63, featuring seven birdies and an eagle-3 on the par-5 fifth hole.

Giannetto and Callan went 5-under on par-5s and 4-under on par-4s.

Giannetto also teamed up with Casey Harvey from the Iowa PGA to post a 1-over-par round of 73, tying for 17th place with Kevin Trobaugh and Mark Atchison from Des Moines Golf and Country Club. Trobaugh is a 2012 graduate of Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School.
