Toe tallies hat trick to help Bobcats snap six-game slide
MASON CITY — Marshalltown junior Richard Toe tallied a hat trick with three goals as the Bobcat boys’ soccer team dispatched Mason City 6-1 in Tuesday’s CIML Iowa Conference match.
MHS snapped its six-match losing streak thanks to Toe’s three-goal night. Fernando Garcia and Theeramanus Kyaeplae both scored one goal each, and the Bobcats’ other score came on an own-goal by Mason City.
Max Gantz registered two assists and Zach Robson recorded another for Marshalltown. Goalkeepers Ernesto Tellez ended with six saves and Kale McKibbin recorded one stop in his 16 minutes in net.
Jonathan Morales recorded the lone goal for Mason City.
