Braddy breaks record, Trojans top Ogden
OGDEN — West Marshall senior Cody Braddy was twice hit by pitches to become the state’s all-time single-season recordholder, and the Trojans tamed Ogden 15-2 in five innings here Thursday night.
West Marshall (23-11) closed its regular season with an easy win, pounding out 13 hits and opening the game with a 10-run first inning.
Braddy, who entered the night tied for the single-season record for hit by pitches with 25, added two plunks to his total (27) to move into first place.
Owen Siegert finished 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored, while Kinnick Christensen was 3-for-4 with a triple and five RBIs. Kaden Davis was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.
Vincent Clawson got the win for the Trojans, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks over four innings, striking out seven.
