DES MOINES — Five players scored in double figures for the Drake women’s basketball team, which outscored Longwood 104-82 in Friday’s game inside the Knapp Center.

The Bulldogs (5-2) reached their season-high scoring output behind season-high scoring outputs from Maggie Bair (22 points) and Megan Meyer (19). Meyer shot 5-for-9 from 3-point range in her best scoring game since transferring in from the University of Iowa.

Grace Berg finished with 16 points, Anna Miller got 12 off the bench and Katie Dinnebier added 10 points in Drake’s high-scoring win.

The Bulldogs scored at least 23 points in each period to win in a shootout.

Akila Smith led Longwood (3-4) with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Tra’dayja Smith added 19 points, and Kyla McMakin scored 17.

Drake is back at home Tuesday with a 6 p.m. game against Simpson College.
