Marshalltown High School wrestlers Xayvion Anderson, left, and Damien Rodriguez -- both members of CIWC Team Intensity -- recently competed in the Adidas Wrestling Nationals in Independence, Mo. Anderson won the 9th-grade title at 133 pounds by pinning Hayze Ivey of Moore, Okla., in 4 minutes, 50 seconds. Rodriguez finished eighth in the 10th grade's 122-pound bracket, losing by fall to Evan Vielhauer of Basehor, Kan., in 5:05 in their placewinner match. A top-eight finish earns All-American status for both wrestlers.
