Iowa’s NCAA games sold out in less than 1 hour
IOWA CITY — The 2023 NCAA first- and second-round sessions, featuring the Iowa, Southeastern Louisiana, Florida State and Georgia women’s basketball teams, set for Friday and Sunday in Carver-Hawkeye Arena sold out. The announcement was made early Friday by the UI Athletics Department.
Second-seeded Iowa (26-6) and No. 15 Southeastern Louisiana (21-9) square off in Carver’s second consecutive women’s basketball sellout this season and the seventh women’s basketball sellout in Iowa history. The second-round game will denote the third straight and eighth sellout in Iowa women’s basketball history.
Due to the removal of floor seating to accommodate the NCAA layout, seating capacity for this event is officially 14,382.
