Five Marshalltown High School wrestlers earned placewinning performances at the Adidas Wrestling Nationals last month in Independence, Mo. Pictured, from left, are Xayvion Anderson, Nicholas Wise, Kunian Kuany, Johan Gomez and Damien Rodriguez. Anderson won a national championship in his division, Wise finished sixth, Kuany took second, Gomez was a national champion and Rodriguez came in seventh place. All five were awarded All-American status. Fellow Marshalltown participants Lucas Bantz and Ivan Pantoja also competed, with Bantz going 2-2 and Pantoja finishing 0-2.
