ISU’s Crooks sweeps Big 12 honors

Audi Crooks

IRVING, Texas — Iowa State’s Audi Crooks has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week as well as the Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

It’s the first time in school history that a Cyclone has swept both awards in the same week, and it’s the first time it has happened in the Big 12 this season.

Crooks finished with her sixth double-double of the season at Houston with 25 points and 12 rebounds, and against BYU she posted 18 points to go along with nine rebounds, three assists and one block.

Crooks also broke Iowa State’s all-time freshman record with 476 points so far this season. She leads Iowa State with 18.3 points per game while shooting a Division I freshman-best 58 percent from the floor.
