MVC Tournament Champion Drake earned a No. 12 seed in this year’s NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament and will face fifth-seeded Colorado in Manhattan, Kan., in a first-round game.

The Bulldogs have never faced a team from the Pac-12 Conference in NCAA Tournament action. Drake has a 6-14 all-time record in the NCAAs, reaching the regional final in 1982 and the regional semifinal in 2002.

Drake has earned its second-straight appearance in NCAA Tournament and fifth appearance in the last seven NCAA Tournaments. Last year, the No. 12 seed Bulldogs nearly defeated eventual Elite Eight participant and No. 5-seed Louisville in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament, falling 83-81.

The Bulldogs (29-5) take a 14-game winning streak and a school-record victory total into their 15th NCAA tournament trip.
