Daniel Wiese

South Tama senior shortstop Daniel Wiese was selected to the all-WaMaC Conference’s West Division teams for the second year in a row.

Wiese earned the promotion to the all-WaMaC West second team after leading the Trojans during league play. He batted .314 with three doubles, two home runs and seven RBIs, scoring a team-high 12 runs during WaMaC West Division play.

Wiese also made just three errors in 50 total chances on defense, leading the STC infield with a .940 fielding percentage. He was an honorable mention selection last summer.

Trojan senior Kyan McBride and junior Tyrus Clegg both were named honorable mention. McBride led South Tama during conference play with a .339 batting average to go with two doubles and a team-high 11 runs batted in. Clegg, a center fielder, boasted a .980 fielding percentage in conference action. He batted .273 in with two doubles, seven RBIs and four runs scored.

Grinnell junior first baseman Brady Coffman was named the division’s Player of the Year after batting .386 with eight doubles, a triple, three home runs and 19 RBIs in league play.
