DES MOINES — Former Drake men’s basketball player Mitch Mascari is set to play for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Summer League.

Mascari will join the Suns this weekend for summer workouts and then begin his journey in the Summer League in Las Vegas, which takes place from July 10-20.

A guard from Geneva, Ill., Mascari was a key cog for the Bulldogs during the 2024-25 season, starting all 35 games en route to a program-record 31 wins and a round of 64 victory over No. 6 seed Missouri in the NCAA Tournament. A third-team all-MVC selection, Mascari averaged 9.4 points per game and led team with 87 3-point baskets, which ranks tied for fourth on the school single-season list.
