Logan Jones

IOWA CITY — University of Iowa football senior Logan Jones has been named a USA Today Preseason Second Team All-American, it was announced Wednesday by the publication.

Jones, a 6-foot-3, 302-pound center, was also named to the Rimington, Lombardi and Outland Trophy Watch Lists this fall. He was also tabbed as preseason second-team All-America by Walter Camp and a third-team All-American by Athlon and Phil Steele earlier this month.

A season ago, the Council Bluffs native started 12 games and earned first-team All-Big Ten and honorable mention All-America recognition from Phil Steele. He anchored an offensive line that allowed just 17 sacks and helped Iowa rush for 2,564 yards, the most since 2002.
