AMES -- Addie Thompson finished 25th overall to lead the West Marshall girls' cross country team at the Gilbert Invite on Thursday at Iowa State University.
Thompson clocked in at 20 minutes, 0.63 seconds, to lead the Trojans to a ninth-place finish in the 20-team field with 250 points.
Dalaney Eldridge came in 41st in 20:40.36, while Zoey Wignall (58th, 21:31.05), Kielly Kasal (62nd, 21:37.22) and Ella Randall (68th, 21:48.36) rounded out West Marshall's scoring.
On the boys' side, West Marshall finished 18th out of 20 teams with a 549 total. Erick Rosas Canchola took 104th to lead the team with a time of 18:54.46.
Des Moines Christian's Caleb Ten Pas won the meet in a time of 14:40.96.
