The Marshalltown High School volleyball team graduated six players who earned all-conference honors a year ago, opening the window of opportunity for this year’s Bobcats.

Marshalltown honored six first-time all-Iowa Alliance Conference selections with the completion of the 2025 campaign, highlighted by unanimous first-team pick Kinsley Bowie.

Bowie, a 5-foot-7 senior outside hitter, led the Bobcats and finished third in the Alliance’s North Division by averaging 2.7 kills per conference set. She closed the season with a team-high 156 kills overall and was the only unanimous first-team all-conference selection on the eight-player squad.

MHS junior setter Lauren O’Neal was named first-team all-conference as well, leading the league with 7.7 assists per set. O’Neal was also fifth in the Alliance North with 2.5 digs per set.

Senior right-side hitter Harper Wilson and junior outside hitter Bella Avise both were named to the Alliance North’s second team. Avise was second on the team and sixth in the conference with 1.9 kills per set, while Wilson was third on the Bobcats and 13th in the league with 1.4 kills per set.

Honorable mention selections went to senior libero Gianna Baune and freshman middle hitter Brooklyn Smith. Baune led the Bobcats and was third in the conference with 3.4 digs per set, while Smith contributed 1.3 kills per set and a league-leading 1.1 blocks per set.

Marshalltown finished second in the Alliance North with a 3-1 league record, falling only to Ames (4-0). The Little Cyclones went on to win the Alliance Conference Tournament.
