Hawkeyes’ Stuelke on Drysdale watch list

INDIANAPOLIS — University of Iowa senior forward Hannah Stuelke was named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Preseason Watch List on Tuesday by the United States Basketball Writers Association.
Stuelke is among the top 50 in women’s college basketball who make up the preseason watch list. The Ann Meyers Drysdale Award is presented annually to the women’s national player of the year.
Stuelke was also named Preseason First Team All-Big Ten by the coaches and media, Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year, and the Naismith Player of the Year Watch List.
The Cedar Rapids Washington High School graduate opened the season with 20 points (8-for-11 FG), nine rebounds, one assist and one block against Southern.
Stuelke started 32 games in 2024-25 and was named second-team All-Big Ten in back-to-back seasons. In her freshman season, she was named the Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year.
Stuelke is 1-of-20 Hawkeyes all-time to have amassed 1,100+ points and 600+ rebounds in their career.
The Hawkeyes are set to host Evansville on Sunday inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena at 2 p.m.
