The awards keep rolling in for the Marshalltown boys’ bowling team, even after the season has ended.

The senior-laden Bobcat bowling squad was well-represented on the Class 3A All-District West team, as Jayden Beichley and Aiden Cowan were both honored with first-team distinction and Marshalltown’s Nate Clark was named the West District’s Coach of the Year.

The honors grew even further for Beichley, who was named to the All-State second team by the Iowa High School Bowling Coaches Association.

Beichley finished the season ranked 23rd in all of Class 3A with a scoring average of 216 pins per game. Cowan edged him out for the team lead, ranking 22nd with a single-game average of 216.67.

As a team, Marshalltown ranked third across all classes with a 3,176.63 average per match, highlighted by a Baker game average that also ranked third at 207.28.

Beichley, Cowan and fellow senior Gage Grieves were all second-team all-Iowa Alliance Conference honorees after the Bobcats won the Alliance tournament title for the first time in four years of the league.

Starting at $4.38/week.
