AMES — Despite a spirited effort on Senior Night, the Iowa State women’s basketball team fell to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls, 88-77, at Hilton Coliseum on Wednesday.

Senior Sydney Harris was honored before the tip, and the Cyclones (21-8, 9-8 Big 12) came out firing, hitting three early 3-pointers and trading blows with Oklahoma State through the first half.

Iowa State took several small leads, but Oklahoma State steadily chipped away and seized control with a decisive 14-4 run early in the fourth quarter.

ISU was paced by Jada Williams, who posted 19 points and a game-high 10 assists, earning her eighth double-double of the season, and Audi Crooks added 19 points and seven rebounds. Harris (12) and Addy Brown (11) also finished in double figures.

For the Cowgirls (22-8, 11-6), Achol Akot led the way with a team-high 23 points, shooting efficiently and hauling in 14 rebounds to dominate the glass.
