Crooks, Williams named all-Big 12

AMES — The Big 12 Conference announced its 2025-26 Phillips 66 women’s basketball yearly awards Tuesday, recognizing the league’s top players and coaches following the regular season. The honors, voted on by the conference’s head coaches, highlighted standout individual performances across the conference, including three from Iowa State University.

Iowa State placed two players on the All-Big 12 First Team. Junior center Audi Crooks was a unanimous first-team selection for the third time. Crooks averaged 25.6 points per game during the regular season, leading the Big 12 in scoring. She also averaged 7.7 rebounds and ranked among the league leaders in field- goal percentage.

Junior guard Jada Williams joined Crooks on the first team. Williams averaged 7.7 assists per game to lead the conference and added double-figure scoring throughout the season as the Cyclones’ primary ballhandler.

Junior guard Arianna Jackson was named Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Jackson carries a 4.0 grade-point average and contributed regular minutes in the Cyclones’ rotation.

The 10-member All-Big 12 First Team also included Baylor’s Taliah Scott and BYU’s Delaney Gibb as unanimous selections, along with Kansas’ Davis and S’Mya Nichols, TCU’s Marta Suarez and West Virginia’s Harrison.

Headlining the awards was Olivia Miles of TCU, who earned both Big 12 Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. The senior guard averaged 20.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game during the regular season. Miles recorded five triple-doubles this season, tying for the third-most in NCAA Division I history in a single year, and surpassed 2,000 career points. She led TCU to an outright Big 12 regular-season championship.

Kansas forward Jaliya Davis was named Freshman of the Year after averaging 21.0 points per game, the highest scoring average among Big 12 freshmen. Davis earned nine consecutive Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors during the season.

Jordan Harrison of West Virginia University received Defensive Player of the Year honors. Harrison averaged 3.24 steals per game, the top mark in the conference. Snudda Collins of Texas Tech University was named Sixth Player of the Year after averaging 14.8 points per game off the bench. Krista Gerlich earned Coach of the Year recognition after guiding Texas Tech to a 25-6 overall record.
