AMES — Five members of the Iowa State women’s basketball team announced or were reported to be entering the NCAA transfer portal Tuesday, one day after the Cyclones’ season ended, according to multiple reports.
Junior forward Addy Brown announced on social media Tuesday that she plans to enter the transfer portal. Brown wrote that the decision came after “a lot of thought about my future and goals,” according to her Instagram post.
Brown was one of Iowa State’s most productive players during the 2025-26 season. She averaged 13.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game while serving as a versatile forward in coach Bill Fennelly’s lineup.
Reports earlier in the day indicated four additional Cyclones also plan to enter the portal. Freshman guard Reese Beaty, sophomore guards Aili Tanke and Reagan Wilson, and junior forward Lilly Taulelei were all reported as potential transfer portal entrants by On3 Sports, according to coverage from the Iowa State Daily and KCCI.
Beaty appeared in 27 games during her freshman season, averaging 4.6 points, 3.3 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game in 20.5 minutes of action.
Tanke, a Johnston native, played in seven games during the 2025-26 season and averaged 0.9 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. Over two seasons in Ames, she appeared in 44 games with six starts.
Wilson played in 28 games this season and averaged 2.5 points while shooting 40.5 percent from 3-point range.
Taulelei appeared in 21 games during the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 2.6 points and one rebound in 5.6 minutes per contest after transferring in from the University of Massachusetts.
The reported departures come as Iowa State begins its offseason following its first-round NCAA Tournament loss to Syracuse. As of Tuesday evening, no announcement had been made regarding the status of junior center Audi Crooks, a second-team All-American.
