First two rounds in Iowa City sold out

IOWA CITY — The 2026 NCAA Women’s Basketball first- and second-round sessions set for Saturday and Monday inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena are officially sold out, the University of Iowa Athletics Department announced Tuesday.

The second-seeded host Hawkeyes entertain 7-seed Georgia, 10-seeds Arizona State/Virginia, and 15-seed Fairleigh Dickinson.

On Thursday night, Iowa hosts a First Four game between 10-seeds Arizona State and Virginia at 8 p.m. Tickets for that game are still available.

No. 7-seed Georgia and the winner of Arizona State/Virginia will face off Saturday at 12:30 p.m. After the conclusion of that game, Iowa (26-6) will take on Fairleigh Dickinson at approximately 3 p.m. on ESPN.

Iowa has hosted the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament eight times dating back to 2013, and four of the last five seasons. The Hawkeyes have sold out the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament three consecutive times in a row (2023, 2024, 2026).
