Crooks leaves ISU for Cowgirls
Audi Crooks
STILLWATER, Okla. — Audi Crooks, one of the most decorated players in Iowa State Cyclones women’s basketball history, announced Sunday she will transfer to Oklahoma State for her final season of eligibility.
Crooks revealed her decision on social media, posting a brief message — “Guess who???” — alongside photos and video of herself in an Oklahoma State uniform. She also appeared in a commitment video with Cowgirls head coach Jacie Hoyt.
Crooks, a 6-foot-3 center from Algona, leaves Ames after a prolific three-year career in which she became one of the nation’s most dominant interior scorers. Crooks averaged 25.8 points per game during the 2025-26 season, ranking second in NCAA Division I, while shooting 64.9% from the field.
She finished her Iowa State career with averages of 22.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game and shot 61.1% overall.
A three-time All-Big 12 first-team selection and multiple-time All-American, Crooks also recorded 12 double-doubles during the 2025-26 season.
She scored 37 points in Iowa State’s 72-63 loss to Syracuse in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, which turned out to be the final game of her Cyclone career.
Crooks entered the transfer portal earlier this month as part of a large roster exodus for Iowa State, which saw multiple players depart following a 22-10 season.
Her move keeps her within the Big 12 Conference, joining an Oklahoma State program that went 24-10 and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season.
The Cowgirls beat Iowa State in both their meetings this past season.
