PITTSBURGH — Several players with ties to the University of Iowa and Iowa State heard their names called Friday as the 2026 NFL Draft continued with Rounds 2 and 3.

Iowa offensive lineman Logan Jones became one of the first in-state products selected on Day 2. The Chicago Bears chose Jones with the No. 57 overall pick in the second round. A multi-year starter on Iowa’s offensive line, Jones anchored a unit that consistently ranked among the Big Ten’s most physical fronts. His versatility and experience at center made him an attractive option for teams seeking interior line stability.

Later in the evening, Minnesota Vikings selected Iowa State defensive tackle Domonique Orange with the No. 82 overall pick in the third round. Orange, a four-year contributor for the Cyclones, appeared in 50 career games and totaled 66 tackles with seven tackles for loss. He earned All-Big 12 honors in 2025 and was regarded as one of the top nose tackles in the class.

Another Hawkeye came off the board in the third round when the Pittsburgh Steelers selected offensive lineman Gennings Dunker with the No. 96 overall pick. Dunker, a first-team All-Big Ten selection, started at tackle during his Iowa career but is expected to transition to guard at the professional level, where his size and adaptability project well along the interior.

Collectively, the selections continued a steady pipeline of offensive and defensive line talent from both programs to the NFL. Iowa, in particular, has built a reputation for developing pro-ready linemen, while Iowa State has increasingly produced defensive contributors capable of earning draft consideration.

In addition to collegiate standouts, Iowa high school roots were also represented. Notre Dame tight end Eli Raridon, who played at West Des Moines Valley, was drafted with the pick before Dunker, going 95th overall to Pittsburgh. At 6-foot-6 1/4, 251 pounds, Raridon entered the draft cycle as a prospect drawing attention for his size and pass-catching ability.

Rounds 4 through 7 are scheduled for Saturday.

Starting at $4.38/week.
