Bobcats’ regional soccer match suspended for lights
DES MOINES — The Marshalltown girls’ soccer team was locked in a 3-all tie with Des Moines North heading into overtime of Thursday’s Class 3A Region 6 first-round match before the contest was suspended due to lighting failure at Grubb Stadium.
The match will resume at 5 p.m. Friday at Grubb Stadium, picking up at the beginning of overtime.
The winner advances to face top-seeded and sixth-ranked Ankeny (9-5-1) in Tuesday’s substate semifinals.
