The family of the late Kevin “Goody” Goodman, a Marshalltown High School alum and former Iowa State University pitcher who made his mark as a youth baseball and softball coach in the area for decades, donated hundreds of balls to the Marshalltown Girls Softball Association and the Marshalltown Baseball Club last week. Goodman’s widow Dana spoke to the softball players last Wednesday and the baseball players on Thursday, urging them to have fun and be coachable. Kevin Goodman, a Marshall County Supervisor, passed away in January at the age of 63.
