IOWA CITY — The University of Iowa men’s basketball team will face Virginia Tech in a neutral site matchup at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City on Nov. 10, the announcement was made last week by Complete Sports Management.

It will be Iowa’s first ever game in Sioux City. Television designation and a start time will be released at a later date.

“We’re excited to bring Hawkeye basketball to the western side of the state for an early-season matchup against Virginia Tech,” said Iowa head coach Ben McCollum. “This gives us three in-state neutral site games against Power Conference opponents this season and 21 games inside our state border.”

The meeting will be the fifth in the all-time series and the first since 2017. The Hokies are 4-0 against the Hawkeyes with three of the four meetings taking place in Blacksburg, Va.
