Marshalltown High School junior Emma Stupp led the Alliance North with a .657 batting average and settled for second-team honors after helping the Bobcats put together a 6-10 league record for the second summer in a row despite heavy roster attrition.
Stupp was joined on the all-Alliance North second team by sophomore infielder Olivia Wise and junior utility Briley Danielson, while junior utility Abby Janssen and freshman outfielder Faith Sommerlot scored honorable mention selection.
Stupp, a first-team honoree as a freshman, sat out her sophomore season but returned to a Bobcat roster that lost four potential returning starters. Marshalltown went 18-21 overall -- one win shy of the 2025 campaign -- but was still honored by the league's coaches with postseason recognition.
Stupp batted .657 in Alliance North play and led the league with a .733 on-base percentage (OBP), ranking fourth in the conference with four home runs, third with eight doubles and eighth with 17 runs batted in.
Stupp also pitched the Bobcats to half of their league wins, racking up 35 strikeouts and only 15 combined walks over 39 innings.
Stupp and Wise both were unanimous second-team choices. Wise batted .344 in league action with two doubles and six RBIs, posting a .462 OBP in support of her first all-conference accolade.
Danielson made the Alliance North list for the fourth time, returning to the second team after back-to-back seasons of honorable mention selection. Danielson batted .370 with six doubles, three RBIs and a team-high 12 runs scored during divisional play.
In the pitcher's circle, Danielson also earned three league wins with 43 strikeouts in her 41 1/3 innings.
Janssen scored honorable mention after batting .295 for the Bobcats, adding one double, four RBIs and three runs scored in league play. She reached base in 38 percent of her plate appearances and also boasted a .968 fielding percentage while throwing out a pair of would-be base-stealers from the catcher position.
Sommerlot made her all-conference debut after batting .360 during North Division play, contributing two doubles, five RBIs and nine runs scored at the plate.
Fort Dodge hoarded nine of the 13 first-team spots on the all-conference squad after going 16-0 to win the division on its way to the state tournament. Ames had three first-team picks and Mason City had one. Only three of the 13 first-team selections were seniors.
Marshalltown tied with Mason City for third place in the final conference standings and returns its entire varsity roster from the end of the season.
