AMES -- The Iowa State women's wrestling team has signed its fourth freshman recruit this summer, adding Vinton-Shellsburg's Chloe Sanders.
Sanders, the winningest high school girls wrestler in state history, is the second 138-pound addition to the Cyclones' roster. She will compete with William Penn transfer Esther Kolawole for a spot in Iowa State's first-ever women's wrestling lineup.
Sanders is a four-time state placewinner after earning her first state championship in 2026. She was a four-time WaMaC Conference champion and a two-time WaMaC Wrestler of the Year.
Following an undefeated senior season, Sanders was named the 2026 Dan Gable Ms. Wrestler of the Year in Class 1A.
Sanders went 219-12 in her prep career with a whopping 168 pins, going 58-0 in her senior campaign on her way to the 135-pound title in 1A.
